Speaking

I’m currently focused on interviewing other people for my podcast, The Culture First Podcast.

While that’s my main focus, I’d love to be a guest on other podcasts or engaged to facilitate conversations about workplace culture, employee engagement, mental health, leadership development, coaching, community building and empathy in the workplace .

Here are a few comments about my performances from people much smarter than myself.

“Damon brings an amazingly fresh approach to HR – exactly what HR needs! He’s very driven, enthusiastic, and determined to make a real difference in his work and makes great use of his blog and other social media to connect and drive his message forwards. He really stands out in his field and I’d watch him closely!”

Mark MooreDirector, Excelerated Performance International

“Damon is an important thought-leader in a global Human Resources community that coalesces around social media. As a reader of his blog, Damon challenges me me to think differently about the future of Human Resources. Damon demonstrates strong strategic thinking skills and he uses social media to motivate other HR professionals around the world to provide relevant, meaningful Human Resources services. When he writes about topics such as recruitment/branding/HR delivery, Damon provides practical ideas and offers concrete examples on how to increase the effectiveness of HR in the 21st century.

I also had the pleasure of speaking with Damon at a Human Resources conference in London. Surrounded by HR professionals—some of whom had over 30 years of experience in this industry—Damon held his own and was recognised as a future leader within our profession.

Damon is an amazing HR professional with a great future ahead of him. I highly recommend his work.”

      Hi Yvonne,

Thanks so much for the kind words. When you are truly passionate about something then it all comes naturally. I think your statement about using your energy with integrity is extremely important and something that I will remember.

Hopefully we catch up at an event or function in the future.

    Damon,

You have an amazing mind and such passion about HR. I really admire people of your age that aren’t afraid of reaching for the stars. Idea generation is a valuable skill in what people can often describe as a dull and lifeless industry. Keep on voiceing your ideas and opinions – be sure to absorb knowledge from those around you and keep smiling, for life is short!

    Warmest regards,

Thanks for dropping by Michelle! Your compliments only fuel my mind to keep on learning and truly becoming the brain that changes itself. Idea generation is definitely one of my strongest attributes but it’s nothing without idea implementation!

I will definitely keep voicing my opinion and ideas and I’d love to absorb some of your knowledge. I’ve heard of your work and it’s very impressive. Congratulations on your nomination for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year!
